We were all stunned. Emotions were awakened that ran the gamut of what it means to be human. Internally, Each of us responding in our own way but collectively we were one. Why can’t we maintain that? What would have happened if we just “allowed” for a year. Instead of responding militarily, what if we had responded with a collective initiative to really awaken, take an honest inventory and listen before acting?
Would we be better off? Would we be worse off? Guess we will never know, but it definitely was a missed opportunity. It was a massive “wake-up call” and somehow we all agreed to hit the snooze alarm and just go back to the mall. Wow~ think about that.  Frightening. And we call ourselves “free”?
Free to be asleep at the wheel is really no freedom at all.
There’s only one sane response to such insanity- Make whatever corrections are necessary within. The external may be beyond control but the internal is not.  “Be the change..”

Between stimulus and response there is a space. In that space is our power to choose our response. In our response lies our growth and our freedom
